President of NRI Green Society reached Premanand Maharaj’s refuge, apologized, know the whole matter

Mathura: Revered spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj has a vast following not only across India but also internationally. Personalities from the sports industry, film fraternity, and business world frequently visit him. Premanand Maharaj had a routine of leading a nightly padayatra (foot pilgrimage) from Shri Krishna Sharanam Ashram on Chhatikara Road to Shri Radha Keli Kunj in Vrindavan. However, this spiritual procession faced objections from residents of the NRI Green Society. They complained that the padayatra caused disturbances, especially affecting elderly individuals due to the noise generated by Maharaj’s followers.
Following these grievances, Premanand Maharaj decided to halt his padayatra indefinitely. Expressing his disappointment, he stated that if anyone had an issue, they should have approached him directly instead of raising objections publicly.
Local Support for Premanand Maharaj
The people of Vrindavan rallied behind Premanand Maharaj in response to the opposition. Several shopkeepers displayed signboards outside their establishments, declaring that residents of the NRI Green Society would not be served. This boycott quickly gained traction across Vrindavan, intensifying pressure on the society members.
In light of the growing tension, the society’s president sought an audience with Premanand Maharaj to extend an apology. He clarified that the objections were influenced by misleading YouTube content. The society members regretted their actions, and the president emphasized his long-standing respect for Maharaj, recalling his own experiences witnessing the padayatra over the past decade.
Premanand Maharaj, emphasizing his message of peace and unity, reassured the president that he harbored no ill will towards anyone. He stated that his sole aim was to spread joy and that the decision to alter the padayatra route was made to ensure no one faced inconvenience. He welcomed the society members to approach him freely, reiterating that his mission was to foster harmony.

Changes to the Padayatra Schedule and Route
Due to the health concerns of Premanand Maharaj and the large gatherings accompanying the padayatra, adjustments were made to the schedule and route. The padayatra, previously conducted at night, was rescheduled to the afternoon from 2 PM to 4 PM. Additionally, the route was altered to bypass the NRI Green Society. It now proceeds from Prem Mandir, passing through Ramanreti Police Chowki turn, before reaching Shri Radha Keli Kunj.
This resolution reflects the spirit of Vrindavan – a place deeply rooted in devotion, unity, and respect for spiritual traditions. Premanand Maharaj continues to inspire his followers, spreading the message of love and harmony through his actions.
